Q&A

Which ISOtunes model is your current favorite & why?

Air Defender. Both of us love them, they're lightweight, super comfortable and battery last forever.

What do you typically listen to on your ISOtunes?

Music when DIY'ing and podcasts when out and about on the tractor.

Why are you an ISOtunes' brand ambassador?

It's great to be able to work with something that is genuinely a really important part of the toolkit, both for safety and also enjoyment. While it's easy enough to throw on a pair of old ear defenders, the ability to pick up the phone or keep motivated during the day with some music is such a great addition to DIY life.

What inspired you to get into your chosen industry?

We became addicted to the satisfaction and sense of achievement of doing something ourselves. It started with making sheds and decorating and now it's ripping off roofs and building houses.

What is the most challenging part of your line of work?

From a creator's point of view it's trying to juggle the time on the tools, planning and ordering for the next stage and then trying to edit to create multiple video each week. Now we have the farm add sheep, pigs and managing land in to the mix and it's pretty full on.

How did you become a content creator?

We started out by creating nothing more than a renovation video diary for ourselves. This however ended up being something many could relate to and people began to join us for the DIY ride! The rest is history.

How do you stay motivated in times of chaos & stress?

Remembering how stupidly lucky we are to do what we do...and make coffee!

What is something you are most proud of?

The timber framed workshop and the old house's roof were amazing projects but we get the biggest kick out of the smaller family builds we can do with our girls.

Words to live by?

If you can, do it yourself.

Fun fact about you.

Tim once had a pet peacock named Frank.

Which project has been the most challenging for you?

Roofing for the first time in the middle of Winter was really tough but equally rewarding.

What are future goals as your career grows?

To be able to create more community builds and events.

How would you describe your perfect day?

When none of the sheep have escaped!

When do you feel most at home?

When having a Sunday roast lunch.

Favorite part of your daily routine.

Evening farm chores, as long as it's not raining.
